If a payment may be difficult, act before the due date.

Use the lender or servicer named in your agreement and ask about the options that apply to that product. Keep written confirmation of any change. For Florida deferred-presentment transactions, specific statutory notice and relief rules may apply.

Do not assume that taking a new loan is the only way to fix a payment problem. Use the repayment stress test and the official complaint routes if the issue cannot be resolved appropriately.

If funds have not arrived, identify the last completed stage.

Ask whether the provider has completed its decision, whether an agreement is complete, whether funds were actually released and what transfer method was used. If release is confirmed but money has not posted, the receiving bank or payment service may be the next party to contact.

Do not submit repeated applications simply because a transfer is pending. The funding timeline separates the checkpoints.

For an unauthorized or disputed debit.

Contact the lender or servicer and your bank or credit union using independently verified contact information. CFPB guidance explains steps that may apply when stopping electronic debits from a payday lender; stopping a payment method does not by itself erase a valid debt.

Keep copies of the authorization, notices, bank entries and responses.

For a privacy or data-use question.

Identify the site or form where information was submitted and the party named in its privacy/consent text. For data submitted directly to a lender, use that lender’s privacy contact. For a Catapult website issue, start with the Contact page.

Do not send bank passwords, full account credentials or a full Social Security number in an ordinary support message.

A message using the Catapult name is not proof that it is genuine.

Be cautious with unsolicited demands for payment, gift cards, cryptocurrency, passwords or upfront money to “release” a loan. Verify the business and agreement through an independently obtained contact route before acting.

Common questions

Support questions

Will the issue router submit a complaint?

No. It shows the party and route most likely to have authority to act. Submit through the identified provider, bank or official portal.

Who handles an existing loan payment?

The lender or servicer named in your agreement, not a generic information page.

Where can I file a Florida financial complaint?

Florida OFR provides an official complaint or tip route. For covered consumer-finance issues, CFPB also provides a complaint portal.

Should I apply for another loan to fix a support problem?

Not automatically. First identify whether the issue is a payment, debit, funding, billing or servicing problem and contact the party able to resolve it.
